A short film dedicated to loss, captured through emotional shots and sparse dialogue. The minimal use of words serves to reflect the tone of the narrative, while a variety of shot types are employed to highlight key elements
of the story.
Concept Creation

With experience in short film creation and video content, it was essential to bring a creative eye and a passion
for powerful storytelling to the production process. The story was carefully crafted from a range of inspirations, beginning with the initial work on storyboarding and scripting. Pre-production included location assessments, authenticating the story, and creating camera plans, music, and voiceovers.

At this stage, deadlines were established, and shooting days were scheduled, taking into account time
for video editing, audio editing, colour correction, and incorporating feedback.
Camerawork

Overlay shots were captured with both video and sound using a range of microphones, with preparations for various shots finalised before the shoot day. The process was straightforward, with the talent and location arranged. A timeframe of two hours was allocated to film the short film.

Post Production

After the shoot, editing began immediately, and the first drafts were completed within a couple of days. Video editing, audio editing, and colour correction were implemented using Premiere Pro within a two-week timeframe, with ongoing adjustments based on consistent feedback.
Overview

The final result was a success, capturing the emotional journey of family and grief. Working on the short film was an incredible experience, making use of a range of professional equipment and talented individuals. I look forward to the next project.
